I checked it out Martel, maybe we'll put up a page of just videos and include this among them. Oddly I just started reading the book Atlas Shrugged last night I wonder if the Atlas Shrugs Blog was inspired by the book?
Yes Director, The philosophy of Objectivism was founded by the writings of Ayn Rand. Check out :

for starters.
Objectivism has a lot to recommend it, but most serious thinkers believe that it is impractical to profess a "pure" objectivism in the political sphere. There is an inhuman, darwinian aspect to it that is unpalatable for many.
Although the objectivist critique of society is generally valid, their disdain for religion, and Christianity in particular puts them beyond the pale for me.
I have noticed that most of the Ayn Rand followers I've encountered are either atheists or agnostic. Ayn seems to emphasize the self too much for my liking. One can either be selfish or be a Christian but one cannot be both. I don't know if I'll finish this book or not, over 1100 pages for a novel is a little much. The first book of Ayn Rand I read was "Anthem" and finished that in one night.
That is exactly what I say. Newt for president. He is one of my biggest heroes and one of the smartest men out there. I have seen that speech before. He is BRILLIANT!!!
The MSM (main stream media) would make mincemeat of Newt. Obama on the other hand is teflon, all of that crap about his racist pastor etc. didn't make a dent in BHO's campaign. Unless something very exceptional happens later on in the campaign we are looking at President Barack Hussein Obama. But you are right Newt is smart though and I wish he was a member of the CFPA.
