What I am getting kind of sick of is all of the democrats and much more for that matter talking about a recession. If everyone keeps talking about a recession, then they will get everyone scared and not spend any money. That will just speed it up even more. Isn't that the entire reason for the tax cut? It is. We definately need to get back in the lead in the global market. And i guess that we still are, but we will not for long since China's economy is growing roughly 3 times faster than ours. It is probably more than that now for that is a fairly old statistic. What are some other things that we as americans can do to help our currently shrinking economy?
The greed of the mortgage lenders and the repeated stupidity of the major banking houses has caused a structural problem that goes to the heart of the financial system. The only way out right now is to inflate the money supply until things stabilize. That's why we're seeing the Fed bail out Wall Street, in order to avoid runs on the banks and the wipe-out of trillions of dollars in equities.
So far they have done a good job of propping-up the system.
It is impossible to abolish the business cycle. Thing will have to correct, adjust and stabilize. They always have in the past. They always will in the future.
Stay positive. America is the greatest and will continue to astonish the world.
