Senators Cantwell and Murray oppose Marriage Protection Amendment
Dear Christopher,
Senators Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray have not changed their decision about supporting the Marriage Protection Amendment which comes up for a vote in the Senate on June 6.
This means they would prefer that a single liberal, activist federal judge wipe out Washington law that defines marriage as only between one man and one woman.
A vote for the Marriage Protection Amendment is a vote for traditional marriage. A vote against the MPA (which Cantwell and Murray currently plan to do) is a vote for homosexual marriage.
Senators Cantwell and Murray need to hear from you today! Call them. If the line is busy, keep calling.
Remember that no matter what Senators Cantwell and Murray say, the bottom line is this: If they vote against the Marriage Protection Amendment they are voting for the legalization of homosexual marriage.
Here are their phone numbers. We suggest you call the District Office if it is a local call, or call the Washington office if no local number is available.
Take Action
Please call your two U.S. Senators today and tell them to vote for the MPA. If your Senator's lines are busy, please keep trying. They need to hear from you personally.

Christopher Rose: It is no surprise that Cantwell and Murray oppose the Marriage Protection Amendment. They are definately two individuals that should be considered traitors to this country.
We did not have such a petition at our church. Contact me by means of personal e-mail and give me a detailed address of your church so that I can come and sign it. I would gladly sign it.
Thank you for contacting me regarding S.J. Res. 1, the Marriage Protection Amendment. I am glad to know your views on this matter.
The Marriage Protection Act would amend the Constitution to recognize marriage as the union of one man and one woman. In addition, it would prohibit the Constitution or any State constitution from granting marital status or its legal benefits to unions not composed of one man and one woman. Currently, the S.J.Res. 1, Marriage Protection Amendment, is pending in the Senate Judiciary committee.
I am opposed to this constitutional amendment that would deny same-sex couples the rights and protections that other Americans enjoy, and I am deeply concerned by efforts to use the Constitution to take away the rights of individuals. Amending the Constitution is a serious step--one we have taken just 27 times in the 215 years since the Constitution was ratified and 17 times since the Bill of Rights was ratified in 1791. With the exception of prohibition, which was repealed 14 years later, the Bill of Rights has never been amended to restrict our rights.
America is a strong nation, and our diversity only makes us stronger. But if we are to remain so, we cannot afford to waste time or energy dividing and conquering each other. Our nation will be best off when we appreciate each other's differences and treat all Americans with respect and dignity.
Again, thank you for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to call on me in the future if I can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Patty Murray United States Senator
CFPA-WA: It is abundantly clear that Patty Murray is in contempt of the US Constitution and hence guilty of treason. She should be forced out of office and exiled to Saudi Arabia.
